A bright, trophy-filled career came to an end earlier this year when the German great put up his boots. The 34-year-old acknowledged that his bond with Los Blancos is “just too tight” but talked of rejoining the team in some form a few months after leaving Madrid.

“Real Madrid will always be important to me,” he stated on his Einfach mal luppen podcast. It was a long, wonderful, prosperous, and loving stage. There is no question about it—I will always feel a connection to Real Madrid. And I will always stand up for Real Madrid and support them. The relationship is just too close, therefore that will not alter.
“I would argue that at this time, putting myself in the real world openly is not a relevant problem for me. I would say no for the time being, regardless of how close I am to the club. I would not rule that out, of course, but I am not claiming that I would never again do anything with Real or have anything to do with the club in my lifetime. That will depend on the job; maybe I will know more clearly once a few years have gone by since my career ended, what route I might envision, and whether the club can envision it as well. However, I do not rule out the possibility that I may eventually reappear at Real in a different capacity.”
Over the course of his many years playing football, Kroos won almost everything a player could win. He won several trophies while playing for Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, and Madrid. He also helped his nation win the 2014 World Cup. They will probably welcome him back with open arms after what he did in Madrid.
