According to a study, a resounding majority of Manchester City supporters think the team should prioritize signing Pep Guardiola to a new contract.

The City manager has not yet signed a new contract, and his current one expires at the conclusion of this season. Six Premier League championships are among the eighteen major honors he has earned since joining the team in 2016.

The Manchester Evening News’ post-transfer window survey reveals that the Catalan has done an incredible job leading the Etihad Stadium, and City fans are clamoring for him to stay.

94% of respondents who cast their 1,348 ballots said Manchester City should extend Guardiola’s contract before Kevin De Bruyne’s. The latter’s existing agreement expires in June of next year.

The fact that 93% of City’s supporters want Guardiola’s contract extended suggests that they are now “very delighted” with the former manager of Bayern Munich and Barcelona. 4% stated they are “satisfied” with his leadership as it stands right now.

Eighty-three percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the present management of City, with regards to the club’s ownership. However, 5% of respondents stated that they are now not “satisfied at all” with the proprietors.

Although the summer transfer window for City was neither the busiest or most captivating, 50% of voters expressed satisfaction with it. A somewhat lower proportion (37) expressed their happiness with the summer’s outcome.

Regarding City’s expectations for this season, a staggering 83% of voters think the team will win a fifth consecutive Premier League title and hold onto its title. Nonetheless, 42% of respondents chose Arsenal, while 50% of voters claimed that Liverpool is the team they dread the most.

Off the field, supporters do not seem to be very concerned about the 115 Premier League accusations that City are facing; 40% of them stated they are “not bothered at all” about the current state of affairs. Of the respondents, 44% have expressed some concern. Merely 16% chose the option “extremely worried.”

Although 45% of respondents think the club would receive a fine if found guilty of the alleged violations, City vehemently denies all claims made against them. Only 8% of respondents think they will lose their Premier League spot.
