Aaron Ramsdale has dropped a bombshell revelation, blaming Mikel Arteta for “his current predicament” following Southampton’s relegation. The ex-Arsenal No.1 claimed he personally called Arteta to discuss a return to fight for his shirt—only to receive a response he “did not expect.”
Despite being a fan favorite during his Arsenal spell, Ramsdale was edged out by David Raya and left for Southampton in a £25m move. Now relegated, the 26-year-old admits his future is wide open, with interest from Newcastle, Leeds, and Bournemouth.
He hinted that a reunion with Arsenal could’ve been on the cards, but Arteta seemingly slammed that door shut. Still under contract, Ramsdale is set to face the Gunners in the final match of the season—possibly as a farewell before a summer switch.
