The star initially went unnoticed… ๐Ÿ‘€

Leandro Trossard replaced him for the 1-0 win over Ipswich on December 27, with captain Martin Odegaard assuming Sakaโ€™s role on the right of attack.

Whether Mikel Arteta sticks with that setup or signs a replacement for Saka that will eventually cause competition between the two players remains to be seen.

One position that may be less likely to be targeted is midfield โ€“ but Gunners fans have got excited after spotting one of the clubโ€™s previous targets at the Emirates Stadium.

Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber โ€“ twin brother of Arsenal star Jurrien โ€“ posted a photo on Instagram showing himself at the Emirates Stadium for the 1-0 win over Ipswich.

He captioned the post: โ€œFlightโ€™s booked.โ€

The 23-year-old was linked with a move to the Gunners back in April but nothing materialised.

Reacting to the photo, one Arsenal fan wrote on Reddit: โ€œYou have no idea how much I want this guy to play for us some day just to have twins in the squad.โ€

A second wrote: โ€œI would love him, but it would need to be something more serious than bench option for him to consider.โ€

A third simply stated: โ€œI am begging.โ€

While a fourth joked: โ€œIf he can play LB Mikel will take him.โ€

And a fifth explained: โ€œI donโ€™t think you can come as a captain and star player from Feyenoord to be bench option. He can go anywhere in La Liga, EPL, Serie A to startโ€ฆ except for like one to three clubs in those leagues.โ€
