While some reports suggest discussions about an extension have started, Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims the Belgian is “unlikely to renew his contract.” Instead of a move to Saudi Arabia, De Bruyne is reportedly eyeing Major League Soccer, with San Diego FC—a team set to join MLS in 2025—emerging as the most concrete option. If De Bruyne leaves, Güler could become a natural choice for City to reconfigure their creative midfield setup.
