After joining Celta Vigo a couple of years ago, Swedish forward Swedberg has primarily played as a rotational option in recent seasons, but he’s made an impressive start this campaign, contributing five goals in as many La Liga starts.
Meanwhile, Moleiro has been a standout performer for Las Palmas in recent years, scoring four goals in 12 league starts this season. He also played a key role in securing a draw against Real Madrid, finding the back of the net earlier this term.
According to Caught Offside, Arsenal have shown interest in both players and have dispatched scouts to closely monitor their performances before potentially moving for them.
Moleiro has a £50m release clause in his contract with Las Palmas, but with his current deal expiring in under two years, he could be available for a lower price if he doesn’t agree to an extension.
As for Swedberg, valued at around £4m by Transfermarkt, he still has more than two and a half years left on his contract, meaning Arsenal could potentially sign him for a relatively affordable fee next year.
However, the report notes that Arsenal may face stiff competition, with Newcastle United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Roma, and Villarreal also showing interest. Despite this, the Gunners, along with Newcastle, are currently in a strong position to secure the duo’s signatures.
Swedberg is a versatile player capable of operating on both wings and across various midfield roles, while Moleiro is primarily a left-sided forward but can also play as an attacking midfielder.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a firm move to bring the 20-year-old and 21-year-old to the Emirates next year to strengthen their squad.
