After Manchester City’s 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Sporting CP, Erling Haaland would be especially unhappy.
Following a very lucky penalty for the visitors, Haaland had the opportunity to launch a possible City comeback.
The Manchester City midfielder came quite near to Ousmane Diomande when Bernardo Silva’s attempt struck his arm.
However, City was given a penalty kick and the opportunity to change the score against Ruben Amorim’s team, who were ahead 3-1 at the time.
But from 12 yards out, Haaland fluffed his lines in an unusual way.
Sporting received a lifeline as the Norwegian striker’s penalty hit the crossbar and was ineffective.
