FIFA has just announced VERY SAD NEWS for the Officials and Referees of the match between Manchester City vs Newscastle and this have cost them thier Job.

Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has disagreed with Alan Shearer’s verdict that Newcastle’s equalising goal from the penalty spot against Man City should not have been awarded.

City took the lead at St James’ Park thanks to Josko Gvardiol’s goal in the first half but Newcastle hit back in the second half when Anthony Gordon sent Ederson the wrong way from the penalty spot.

The match finished 1-1 as City were held to a draw for a second successive week but there were question marks over the decision to award the hosts the penalty.

And Newcastle’s record goalscorer, Shearer, raised eyebrows on Saturday among the Toon Army when he took to social media to air his view that his team should not have been awarded a spot-kick that ultimately earned Eddie Howe’s side a point against the Premier League champions.

Replying to a Liverpool fan who was asking whether Shearer had the ‘same energy’ towards this penalty decision as he did towards a controversial penalty decision involving their forward Jota in a game with Newcastle last season, Shearer tweeted: “I didn’t think it was a penalty. [Is] That OK?”

Shearer’s view was discussed on Match of the Day and while it was acknowledged it was admirable Shearer held such a view against the team he supports, Lineker explained why he disagreed with his colleague and why he thought referee Jared Gillett made the right decision.

“Do you want my view? From someone who has been in that position many times,” Lineker said.
