Following Jurrien Timber’s long-term injury, Arsenal are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (page 8).
Timber recently suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which could keep him out for the rest of the season for the Gunners.
As a result, the club is seeking for a fresh signing to fill the vacuum, and Gazzetta claims that they are interested in signing Pavard from Bayern.
Inter Milan and Manchester United are also interested in signing the World Cup winner, but the Gunners may have an advantage over the duo.
Bayern are prepared to sell the 27-year-old for €30 million plus €5m in add-ons. Inter are currently reluctant to pay more than €25m for the Frenchman.
United, on the other hand, are completely reliant on Harry Maguire’s departure to sign Pavard. Maguire recently turned down a move to West Ham United.
