According to rumours, Arsenal new kid Jurrien Timber could be out till the end of the season after suffering an injury against Nottingham Forest. The 22-year-old only joined the Gunners a month ago, but he could be out for a long time after being forced off during Saturday’s triumph over the Reds.
Timber injured his knee 50 minutes into his Premier League debut and was soon replaced and helped off the field by Arsenal personnel. The north Londoners revealed on Monday that additional testing would be required to ascertain the entire degree of the problem, and the outcome appears to be painful.
His injury is likely to keep him on the treatment table for ‘almost all of this season’, according to CBS, which will represent a devastating blow for the Gunners going forward. The Dutchman recently said that he believes working under Mikel Arteta will improve him as a player, telling Sky Sports: “It’s the way he thinks, the way he makes you better. I’ve only had him for a few weeks but I noticed it very quickly within myself because you need to learn a lot in a short space of time.
