Inquiring about the “best left-back in Europe” demonstrates Newcastle’s desire.Theo Hernandez of AC Milan has been linked to Newcastle United, and a move for him this summer might be seen as a significant declaration of intent by the Magpies.
After raiding Milan for the signing of Italian midfield king Sandro Tonali, journalist Ryan Taylor hailed Newcastle’s ambition as they appear to step up their interest in Hernandez.
Taylor told Give Me Sport that Newcastle should be considering candidates for the number 10 position. Several further alternatives are available.
“At left back links to Theo Hernandez, I think the fact there’s even interest in Theo Hernandez shows how ambitious Newcastle are and how serious they’re going to be in the market in terms of finances. So I would say although there’s no real names out there, keep an eye on them.”
Newcastle are preparing for life back in the Champions League next season so will need to ensure their squad is prepared for this big step up.
