EPL: Nathan Ake names best manager, club after new contract. Manchester City have confirmed an extension of contract for defender, Nathan Ake.
The Dutchman will now stay with the club until 2027.
This was confirmed on Saturday by the European and Premier League champions.
The Dutch international has extended his existing contract by two years.
Ake was a key member of Pep Guardiola’s squad during City’s treble-winning season last year.
The 28-year-old said: “This is the best club in the world, I have no doubts about that. Being a Manchester City player makes me incredibly proud every single day.
“Pep is the best manager in football – a genius who has made me see the game differently.”
