Benjamin Mendy is joining one of the biggest clubs in the world after getting cleared of r@pe charges

Ex-Manchester City star faced with three options after complete acquittal. Former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has now been cleared of all charges after being accused of attacking two women during the lockdown period.

The 28-year-old has now received a complete acquittal and he might look to get his football career back on track.

Mendy was recently released by Manchester City after his contract expired with them and it seems that he is now faced with three options going ahead as per reports.

The defender could look to stay at Manchester City by convincing manager Pep Guardiola that he has a lot to prove in the Premier League.

The French international may be a nice alternative to have if he is willing to stay on for a small sum, since Manchester City really needs additional depth and skill in the left-back spot.

On the other hand, relocating to Saudi Arabia is always an option. Clubs in Saudi Arabia have been quite active in the summer transfer market, and they have recently acquired a number of elite players. Mendy may make a new beginning there and refocus on playing football.

Finally, the 28-year-old might consider joining the French club and moving back to his own country. Being a free agent and being exonerated of all charges, the 28-year-old’s decision will be interesting to watch.
