Earlier this month, the England striker was barred from all football-related activities for eight months for violating the FA’s betting rules. The footballer pled guilty to 232 of the 260 accusations leveled against him by the FA.
Following his suspension from football, Brentford forward Ivan Toney has been removed from FIFA 23’s newest squad update.
According to reports, FA first requested a 12-month penalty on him, but once he pled guilty, the ban was reduced to 11 months. It was reduced to 8 months after an independent commission study established that he is addicted to gambling.
As a result of his suspension from football, he was removed from the FIFA 23 squad in the most recent edition. Toney is no longer eligible to play for Brentford. Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo are shown on each side of Kevin Schade, standing in for Toney, who is now unavailable for selection.
Yesterday, Ivan Toney tweeted that he will release it “unfiltered” soon.
I’ll speak soon with no filter.

Fans were quick to point out the hypocrisy on part of EA Sports to remove a player for betting but at the same time promote it through their game mode.
