Potter has been out of job since being fired by Chelsea in early April, but his stock hasn’t suffered too much as a result of the turmoil at the West London club.
The former Brighton manager was given far too many players at the Blues, and it is unclear how many of them he genuinely wanted. The work Frank Lampard has done subsequently demonstrates how difficult it is to be at Chelsea, and Potter surely deserves a second opportunity in England’s top flight, with Crystal Palace being an excellent project to get back into the game.
