Antonio Conte replacement as Tottenham Hotspur manager has already been named this evening

Tottenham’s search for a new manager may be coming to an end shortly, as the preferred candidate has been announced.

It was threatening to be the story of the summer, but Tottenham Hotspur appear to be on the verge of choosing a new manager.

Since Antonio Conte tossed his toys out the pram and fled for Italy, the north Londoners have been in turmoil, and Fabio Paratici, the director of football, has been barred from any football activity due to financial violations at Juventus.

Ryan Mason came in as interim first-team manager, but it was clear that he would never be given the job full-time.

Arne Slot was thought to be the guy to take over at White Hart Lane, but the Dutchman signed a new contract with Eredivisie winners Feyenoord.

Daniel Levy, the chairman, couldn’t afford to have another situation like the one that occurred with Nuno Espirito Santo, so he deserves credit for waiting for the appropriate candidate rather than caving to supporter pressure to let anyone in through the door.

According to Sky Sports, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been designated the favored candidate, though nothing will be discussed or agreed until after Celtic’s Scottish Cup Final this weekend.

Postecoglou knows he’s 90 minutes away from a trifecta after already winning the League Cup and the Scottish Premiership.

If he successfully completes Scottish football, a new challenge may be just what he’s searching for.
